I realize I’ve done a bit of photography while on maternity leave after the birth of our twins (mostly pre-arranged / previously booked photo sessions and weddings), buuuuuuuuut this session with Nelson & Jordyn was my first official photography session since my yearlong maternity leave ended. So it was really fun & special to be asked to capture Jordyn about a month away from her due date with their first child!
Nelson custom designed & built their home with so many amazing features, and the next set of pictures will give you a taste of the work he’s created! And I didn’t even get to photograph MY absolute favourite part of their home because… umm… maternity photos in an entryway might be awkward?!? :P But anyway! If you’re looking for someone willing to try something a bit more creative and special with your home, he’s your guy!

Sorry to all the dads-to-be out there, but a pregnant mama will always steal the spotlight during the maternity session. There’s just something about those baby bumps!! <3
We took more nursery photos than just these few, buuuuuuuuut I promised I wouldn’t give away any name clues, so you can’t see the other half of the nursery until after baby is born!
